This page outlines care guidance, photography & shade notes, product information, protection tips, and manufacturing tolerances for Simon Philip Interiors fabrics and made-to-measure products.

Care Instructions
Each product is supplied with care guidance. To maintain quality and longevity, these instructions must be followed. We cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by incorrect care.
Allow for Washing
If your fabric will be washed, please allow for shrinkage. We recommend ordering an additional 5% to ensure sufficient material after laundering.
Shade & Photography
Screens and lighting vary; batches can differ slightly. Please order a sample from any product page before placing a full order to confirm colour, handle, and finish.
Specifications on Product Pages
You’ll find fabric width, vertical/horizontal pattern repeats, composition, and further specifications within the Details tab of each product.
If you need information not listed, contact our team for assistance prior to ordering or making up.
Fabric Protection & Longevity
Sunlight can fade fabrics over time. We recommend lining all curtains and blinds with UV-resistant linings.
For maximum protection and a fuller handle, consider an interlining between fabric and lining; this also improves insulation.
What is Acceptable
Fabrics made from natural fibres may show small variations in weave or finish. Slubs in linen and silk are characteristic features and add to their unique appeal.
In fabrics without a defined face, occasional joins on the reverse are part of the weaving process and do not affect performance or durability.
Our Accepted Tolerances
To reflect industry standards and natural variation in textile production, the following tolerances apply to our fabrics and made-to-measure work:
- Colour tolerance between batches: up to 5%.
- Pattern repeat tolerance: up to 5%.
- Cross-width joining tolerance: up to 5% (for joins across the width, e.g. wide window treatments or pattern-matching).
Where exact colour matching or repeat precision is critical, please request a Stock Cutting before bulk orders, and allow generous workroom margins.
